Massage Services

Sports Massage

A form of bodywork geared toward participants in athletics. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries. Sports massage has three basic forms: pre-event massage, post-event massage, and maintenance massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

Best for giving attention to certain painful, stiff "trouble spots" in your body. The massage therapist uses slow, deliberate strokes that focus pressure on layers of muscles, tendons, or other tissues deep under your skin. Though less rhythmic than other types of massage, deep tissue massage may be therapeutic -- relieving chronic patterns of tension and helping with muscle injuries, such as back sprain.

T.M.J.D Massage

(Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction)

Massage therapy has in fact become one of the most widely accepted solutions for treating TMJD patients because it has significantly fewer health risks than any other TMJD treatment. The Center of Health Research in Oregon reported that the majority of respondents who used various complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) treatments, especially massage therapy, to treat their TMJD demonstrated major reduction or elimination of pain and tension within their jaw muscles as well as an overall improvement in the jaw joint mobility.

Chinese Cupping

An ancient Chinese therapy that’s based on the belief that certain health problems can be caused by stagnant blood and a poor energy flow through your body. To fix or prevent those health issues, cupping practitioners apply cups—typically glass or silicone—to your skin to create a pressure that sucks your skin inward, according to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine. Blistering may happen, it depends on the body.

Table Thai Massage

Thai Massage on the Table is a form of Traditional Thai Massage. It is often called lazy mans yoga because it passively stretches the client. Please arrive with loose comfortable clothing, as you will stay fully clothed for this treatment. The techniques are great for improving flexibility for athletes or anyone interested in a great stretch. My clients report that they have less joint pain and more  joint flexibility, and that they have less muscle fatigue on average.

GUA SHA

Gua sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve your circulation. ... In gua sha, a technician scrapes your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow.

Infrared sauna

Infrared light heats you directly instead of heating the air. The result is a much more comfortable experience. Saunas help rid the body of toxins while cleansing the skin with excess sweating, increase circulation to facilitate better recovery, release heat shock proteins to promote muscle growth due to heat stress, and increase your body’s time to fatigue resulting in increased endurance. Additionally, heat stress causes your body to release the same chemical that causes "the runner’s high." Saunas are an easy way to boost performance while relaxing.

Our Sauna also comes equipped with different lights. Our infrared sauna sessions only take 30 minutes to feel completely rejuvenated.

  • Red is one of the brighter hues and can increase energy and create excitement.  It invigorates a person and energizes the body’s organs.  When used alongside infrared, it can help promote faster healing.  Collagen cells and the skin itself are improved.

  • Orange is similar to red in that it can stimulate thinking and uplifts the emotions.  Energy levels are increased and a person’s overall mood can be greatly enhanced.

  • Yellow is thought to be more of a spiritual nature, providing a better outlook.  Most people are more lighthearted and feel more optimistic around yellow.

  • Green is a universally calming and healing hue. Many who suffer from SAD (winter blues due to lower light levels) often find some relief from green.  It can have the effect of offering sharper thinking and clarity.  It is suggested that green will program the body to respond by increasing whatever healing is already taking place.

  • Blue is also known to relive depression.  It can calm inflammation, headaches and blood pressure. It also has an antibacterial effect on the skin. Many medical offices have images of blue skies and white clouds as the combination is very calming and relaxing.

  • Purple has been shown to often help a person deal with existing pain.  It has been shown to help those suffering form fibromyalgia.  Even white blood cells are energized by the purple spectrum of light.  It is very soothing.

What does the color's mean?

Foot Detox

An ionic foot detox is said to work by pulling the toxins out of your body through your feet. Take, for example, the popular foot detox bath IonCleanse. Advertised as a safe and relaxing way to clear out the body, the ionizing machine works to ionize the foot bath water.

This process is said to give the hydrogen in the water a positive charge. The positive charge is said to attract the negatively charged toxins in your body. The ions in the foot bath water supposedly hold a charge that enables them bind to any heavy metals and toxins in your body, similar to how a magnet works. This allows the toxins to be pulled out through the bottoms of your feet.
